Revealing the Endogenous Regenerative Capacity of the Brain

We have an open postdoctoral fellow position!

The Question

Neural stem cells have an incredible potential for therapeutic use, but we do not understand how they are endogenously regulated in the brain.

What are the endogenous mechanisms that regulate neural stem cells and how do they impact neural stem cell behavior in vivo?

The Research

We use cutting edge cellular and molecular techniques to investigate neural stem cell function in different contexts, including during development, across the lifespan, and in response to experience.

We believe that understanding basic stem cell and developmental biology will be critical to designing therapies which modulate neural stem cell function to benefit brain health.

The Environment

We believe that science is for everyone.

We intentionally cultivate an inclusive learning environment in the lab and celebrate individuality and diversity.
